Job Purpose
Accountant will provide support to the Finance Manager in ensuring financial and statutory requirements of the Philippine finance are met timely, and related success metrics are achieved.
A glimpse of your daily mission
To liaise with other individuals and groups within the organization (accounting shared services, sales, customer operations) for the needed day-to-day support from local finance.
To manage the preparation and issuance of loose-leaf BIR documents (i.e. sales invoices, collection receipts, billing statements and official receipts) as well as the preparation of pro-forma invoices for farm-in processing applicable for project deliveries in PEZA sites.
To collect on accounts by sending bill reminders and communicating with customers for any collection issues.
Resolve billing and collection issues by examining customer payment, payment history and coordinating with client's collection/payment department.
To assist in the verification of local supplier invoices for payment, determine the tax implications of the invoices received from local suppliers and manage the issuance of creditable withholding tax certificates.
To assist in the preparation of documents for finance requirement on vendor accreditation for new customers and vendors.
To assist in the preparation of documents for Philippines Statutory Board - BIR, SEC and other statutory requirements, as well as the VAT refund claim exercise.
To perform ad hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time by Finance Manager.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accountancy with a professional qualification in accounting.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Big 4 Audit Firms with tax experience preferred.
Familiar in SAP system would be added advantage.
